Abstract (EN)
Capanogulları came and settled in Yozgat and tried to develop this place. Capanogulları became stronger and dominated the city of Yozgat, produced many important works during this period. This period passed into history as the period of Westernization in the Ottoman Empire. Westernization not solely affected Istanbul but also Anatolia, and the styles of this period were reflected in the architectural works. Capanogulları reflected the styles of the Westernization period, Baroque and Rococo, to many of the works they had built in Yozgat. The purpose of choosing the subject of this thesis as "Yozgat Çapanoğlu Mosque" is that this mosque, which is the eternal symbol of Yozgat, is one of the first works of European influence in Anatolia, as a simple example of monumental works of which we have seen countless examples in Istanbul. When the work discussed in this study is examined, it is seems that the mosque was shaped by Baroque and Rococo influences, and these styles were used quite a lot, most notably in its mihrab, pulpit and decorations. The essence of the study is to interpret and evaluate this historical work, which was built under these influences and left to us centuries ago, with its architecture and ornaments.
