Abstract (EN)

Having accurate information in blood safety and transfusion medicine by determining the antigen frequency of ABO, Rh Subgroup (C,c,D,E,e,Cw) and Kell (K) blood group distribution of blood taken from volunteer blood donors in Yozgat province, It is aimed to create a database both practically and scientifically. The research was conducted retrospectively. To determine the ABO and Rh (D) blood group distribution rate of 15,868 blood donors who donated blood for the first time at the Turkish Red Crescent Yozgat Blood Donation Center between April 2012 and April 2021. To determine the antigen frequency of Rh Subgroup (C, c, E, e, Cw) and Kell (K) blood group distributions of 1,442 blood donors between May 2012 and April 2021. In the immunohematology laboratory within our Regional Blood Centers, ABO, Rh subgroup and Kell grouping tests are performed by gel centrifugation method with fully automatic devices (Grifols Erytra). After the test results were processed into the data system of Kızılay KHGM, a blood donor registration form was used to collect the data. The blood group distribution in the blood taken in the study was 42.76% A blood group, respectively; O% blood type 33.63; 16.16% B blood type and 7.45% AB blood type were found. The Rh (D) blood group was found to be 88.41% Rh (D) positive and 11.59% Rh (D) negative. Positive frequency of Rh Subgroup antigens, respectively; It was found to be C with 73.43%, c with 74.54%, E with 29.75% and e with 97%. Also, the frequency of the Cw-antigen was found to be 99.22%. The frequency of Kell (K-) blood group antigen was found to be 93.5%. 2021 Keywords: Yozgat, blood group, ABO, Rh, Kell, Subgroup
