Abstract (EN)
Incisional hernias incidence is changing between 2-11 % after abdominal operations. The only treatment of incisional hernia is surgery. Recurrens incidence is 30-50 % after primary repiar of incisional hernias. Due to fundamental changes in surgical techniques, the recurrence rates following conventional incisional hernia surgery undisputably decreased following mesh repair. The aims of this study are compairing other repair techniques with primary repiar techniques for the risk of incisional hernia, the fascial lines departed time, the effects on incisional hernia risk of each groups. This study was prepared as a prospective randomised study. The high risk patients who had midline incision of abdomen were included in this study. All patients were divided into four groups. Each group contains 20 patients. Patients of the Group 1 were operated on using primary repiar. In Group 2 Cardiff repair technique was used. The patients in Group 3 were repiared with Keel technique. The patients of Group 4 were repaired with onlay technique. Patients were controled with physical examination, tree months periods in first year after surgery and six months periods in the following two years. Incisional hernia, occurance time and other complications were noted. The groups were compared with Kruskal Wallis Test, which was a nonparametric test and Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test.Three patients had recurrence in Group 1 and one patient had recurrence in Group 2. There is no recurrence in other groups. There is no meaningful difference for incisional hernia and the other complications between each groups ( p> 0.05).As a result; there is no meaningful difference between primary repair and the other groups. Keywords: incisional hernia, repair techniques of abdominal incisions
