Design and manufacturing of height adjustable drawbar for tractor

Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was aimed to design and manufacture can be mounted directly, height adjustable drawbar. Thus, before the tractor is stopped in cruising the agricultural trailer hitch check, positioned up and down from the cabin, up the cruising, aiming to direct the tractor center of gravity towards the tractor rear axles. The design parameters of the apparatus have been set and designed fort his goal. Solidworks 2021 program has been leveraged for design. The apparatus, manufactured after design, was traialled with a two-axle agricultural trailer, mounted on a standart tractor. It has been determined that the drawbar can be brought to a height that will affect the tractor's center of gravity and braking mechanism, without stopping the tractor while driving. The height of the tractor load transfer point was found to be 7,5 cm in the up position of the drawbar. The drawbar is 21 cm below the load transfer point of the tractor in the down position and the angle of the drawbar to the forward direction is 7,5°. As a result, it has been determined that the developed apparatus can easily be used with small adjustments to the design, considering the size properties of the tractor in the application.
