Abstract (EN)
The main objective of this research is to show how to prepare and which phases have to be followed to prepare an interactive educational CD on Basic Design Education to be used by students of graphic design at Higher Education Institutions in order to improve the quality of the education in parallel with technological developments by taking up an interactive sample CD and present this to the opinion of professors and studentsIn this research, within the context of the scanning model, use has been made of literature and interviews with experts in this field. The working group for this research consists of 15 professors and 15 students selected from the Gazi University, Faculty of Art and Design, Department of Graphic Education. In line with the sub-objectives of the research, an interactive education CD on Basic Design Education was prepared after which preparations continued under the guidance counseling of an expert group comprising 2 professors, 1 educational program development expert, 2 educational technology experts, and 2 computer experts. First of all, the target and target behavior relating to the subject of research has been identified. Next, a list of content has been prepared regarding the aimed target and target behavior. According to certain criteria, a CD has been prepared including introduction activities, main page, CD user guide, screen/interface design, and questions on subject comprehension. For the assessment of this interactive CD, a scale has been prepared under the supervision of an expert group and a quadro scoring and control list have been used for the assessment of the questions in the scale. After the working group watched the interactive educational CD, the prepared scale has been applied one-by-one by the researcher and the data obtained from the research has been put into a table by calculating the percentage (%) according to the frequency (f) range. In this way the findings have been identified and comments have been made.According to the findings that have been obtained as a result of the research, in the preparation phase of the interactive educational CD, the majority of the working group considered as appropriate the background used in the screen design, the visual elements, layout, colors, typography and main page; considered as sufficient the presentation of general and specific targets in the phase of the introduction activities of the education CD; considered the motivating activities as outstanding and interesting; and considered the introductory guide to be understandable by users. It came out that the majority of the working group believed that the content of the educational CD was correctly set up in line with the need of the student regarding the subject and that it was practical to have the subject comprehension questions under each of the subjects enabling the user to reach these questions whenever they wanted to.
