Comparative research on the computer aided accounting courses given at higher education institutions and at private establihments

The students at, Higher Education Institutions, take four credits per week. This course is also studied at courses given bye private establishments. One of the reason for this research is to be done to compare the learning methots at Higher Education Institutions and at courses given by private establisments. The other one is whether there are problems in learning the course. To this end a survey has been conducted among 179 private establishment and higher education students, and the survey results have been analyzed by using SPSS statistics program at the significance levels of 0,05 and 0,01, Anova, Manova, Corelation analysis and One-tailed z analysis. The results of these analyses provided findings on the viewpoints of students regarding the teaching methods of computer aided accounting courses at private establishments and higher education institutions, the two groups? comparisons of levels of finding computer aided accounting courses easy, enjoyable, useful and important, comparisons of figures and the package program using skills of private establishment and higher education students, and problems faced during computer aided accounting courses. The results of the research proved differences between the two groups, namely the insufficient number of package programs that vocational school students learn during computer aided accounting courses, and the relatively higher package program using skills of vocational school students among other private establishment students. Private establishment students suggest that there should be a phase of v practice training after the end of the course. Assessments on problems faced during computer aided accounting courses and solution proposals have also been made.
