Özet (EN)
The study area, located along the Southeast Anatolian Orogenic Belt in the western extension of the Bitlis-Zagros suture zone, around the province of Elazig (Eastern Turkey) was carried out mainly around Baskil (Kuşsarayı, Topaluşağı), Keban (Cebberuşağı), Sivrice (Kinederich-Bekçitepe), Sürek (Sivrice), Konakalmaz- Kesikköprü locations. In this area, basaltic pillow lavas and partially doleritic subvolcanics from Yüksekova volcanic mafic products developed in the volcano-sedimentary back-arc basins were investigated by petrographic and Confocal Raman spectroscopy. It has been determined that the pillow lavas around Elazığ, which have the main mineralogy of plagioclase+pyroxene ±olivine accompanied by zeolite, chlorite and epidote secondary minerals in places, have basaltic composition, although they generally exhibit different characteristics. There are basalts with subophytic, intergranular, poikilitic, microporphyric, hyalomicrolytic porphyric, amygdaloidal and glomeroporphyric textures. There is a variety of alterations in the rocks such as quartz, calcite veins and silica fillings, epidotization (from pyroxenes), chloritization (from pyroxenes), silicification, opacification (in some pyroxenes and common paste), carbonation, less sericitization (in plagioclases), argillization. Confocal Raman analyzes were carried out on pyroxene and partially plagioclase and opaque minerals on the pillow lavas around Elazig. Confocal Raman studies were carried out to interpret magma characterization on mafic volcanic rocks around Elazig, especially pillow lavas and partially subvolcanic pyroxenes, partially plagioclase and opaque minerals. The mineral types obtained by Confocal Raman analysis in the rocks, which are the main subject of investigation, clinopyroxenes, are mainly augite and relatively less diopsite. It is seen that the pillow lavas in the region have basaltic composition and these rocks exhibit an almost homogeneous compositional range.
