Abstract (EN)
Developments in information and communication technology in the last 25 years have accelerated the globalization process. Globalization phenomenon beginning to be felt in all areas of life and with realization of economic globalization in the economic sense, emerging economies want to close down the savings needed for their development by using foreign direct investment. On the other hand, developed economies attach importance to foreign direct investments in order to protect global competitiveness and market share. These causes make it impossible for global capital to be limited to a country in the globalizing world and the importance of foreign direct investment is increasing day by day. Theoretical and empirical studies show that the determinants of foreign direct investment are: Economic and political stability, market size of the country, exchange rate policy, tax policy, infrastructure investment, commercial openness, natural resources, privatization practices, corruption and socio-cultural factors like that. In the literature reviews, foreign direct investments are evaluated as: Macroeconomic variables, tax incentives, foreign trade effects, exchange rate relations and the impact of the EU process. In theory, it is often stated that political and economic stability are important determinants of developing economies, but the absence of a comprehensive study has been motivated for our research. It has been started to work in this direction with a large-scale conceptual literature search. In the empirical part of the study, the two main factors of 26 countries, which are mostly developing economies and called "Emerging Market Economies", have been analyzed by panel data method based on the period between 1996 and 2015.
