When we examine this studies, we can see that this subject spreads in an area containing antropology, fiber technology, botanies and chemistry. This study includes, from this scientific experts that are made through their own direction and published articles and signs in many sources, party knowledge that are complied from our nation, collecting this together in the possibly best and tidy way, and through the direction of this knowledge light, the natural dyeing experiment are made to a plant which never used before. This study is formed in three parts. The subjects that are examined in the first part, under three subtitles, they are; The property and structure of wool fibers, history of naturel dyestuff and dye plants. Wool fibers are described according to their important properties in dyeing and their structures, given information about historical improvement of natural dyeing and botanical structure, growing conditions, types used in dyeing, chemical structures, parts used in dyeing, gathering season, colors provided when applied on wool and their native names in our country of fiftyfive choosen dye plants are examined in this part. The classification of natural dyestuffs according to their chemistry and dyeing techniques, mordants, colors provided and dye recipes are described in the second part, under five subtitles. Here, in six subgroups containing the majority of chemical color materials in plants are examined according to the studies made, in the late of eighteenth century, about the chemical structure of natural dyestuffs. According to the calassification of dyeing techniques of the natural dyestuffs that have the general properties of dyeing with substantive, mordant and vat is explaines.
