Novels mentioning about the life of Yunus Emre

Biography - describing a person's life and aiming to introduce that person in terms of his/her life, creation, character and views – sets out from existing reality basically. However, novel as a literary type is based on the fiction not the reality. Fiction based on the biography, that is, cooperation of fiction with the reality forms biographic novel. Many samples of this literary type can be seen in both Western Literature and Turkish Literature. Turkish Literature recently managed to meet many biographic novels mentioning the life of Yunus Emre with Turkish reader. The aim of this study is to analyze the structure and expression properties of biographic novels mentioning Yunus Emre as a main character and to analyze the subject of biographic novel in Turkish Literature. This study consists of five parts. After analyzing, "The Life, Creations and Epics of Yunus" and "Yunus Emre in Turkish Literature" in the introduction part of the study, the subjects "What is novel?" and "History and Development of Novel", "Rise and Development of Turkish Novel" were added to the study in the first chapter. In the second chapter, "Biography", "Biographic Novel", "Samples of Biographic Novel in Turkish Literature" were deliberated. In the third chapter, the structure, expression characteristics and fictions of ten biographic novel mentioning Yunus Emre as a main character were investigated. Conclusions, suggestions and references take place in the last chapter.
