Abstract (EN)
e-Commerce which has taken place on the world's agenda in 1990s has been begun rapidly evolving and recovering from 2006, after the dotcom's depression in 2000.Increasing online users and especially the development of internet accessible mobile devices has demanded the retail e-commerce to be transformed. The most striking aspect of this transformation from the point of international trade is that the borders are really started to be virtualized. The concept of the customer now covers the ones living in different places other than the vendors' country. With the help of information and communication tools with the parcel transportation has become readily available and widespread. As a result, consumers are started to prefer to buy products from another country if they are cheaper there. By the introducing e-commerce into the agenda, e commerce vendors are trying to get a slice from this cake by concentrating on the net with deploying more foreign languages. In addition to this new opportunity offered by e-commerce, a more intense competition is waiting for the Businesses. Price comparison engines are provoking customers by offering multiple searches for multiple country prices. It is no longer comfortable for local businesses. They had to deal with the virtual rivals whose name they never known before. The objective of this study to examine the efforts regarding the cross border e-commerce carried in Turkey and the world and the possible impacts of this e-commerce on Turkish exports.Key Words:1.Retail e-Commerce2.Cross-border e-Commerce3.Exports4.Air Cargo5.e-Commerce in Turkey
