Abstract (EN)

Nowadays, people prefer knitted fabrics rather than woven fabrics due to being more comfortable and used in fashion. Knitting mills have to produce rapid and in quality to supply this increasing demand. So knitting process which is a first step of knitted fabrics production is very important. Because any problem that occurred in this step cause naturally other serious problems in further processes. Therefore, how the changing of machine adjustments affects the knitted fabrics? properties should be known before hand and the machine adjustments shoul be done according to this.In this investigation, plain-jersey and single lacoste fabric samples were produced from cotton yarn. These samples were knitted in three different yarn feeding speed adjustments and three different take-down tension adjustments in each yarn feeding speed. Beside of these adjustments, three different cam settings were applied in plain-jersey fabric samples. Then, how unit fabric weight (areal density) and loop length values of the plain-jersey and single lacoste fabric samples were affected by the changing of the machine adjustments, were evaluated by using SPSS statistical programme.
