Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to perform EEG based analysis of brain plasticity in face transplant patient, arm transplant patient and arm replant patients. It is also intended to provide the first description of motor movement and sensory stimulation responses with uncalculated brain plasticity for the face transplant group. EEG signals were obtained from 10 healthy volunteers and transplant patients (3 face transplants, 1 arm transplant and 1 arm replant patients) with 200 Hz sampling frequency from 64 different channels. EEG signals were recorded during tactile stimulation of the hand and face area with the brush and during motor movements. EEG data were analyzed with decomposing into delta, teta, alpha, beta and gamma sub-frequency bands using wavelet packet transform method. EEG-based brain mapping specific to person, motion, and tactile stimuli was performed by calculating the node energies of the decomposed signal. Cortical and motor cortical activities and cortical rearrangements of somatosensory stimulation in face transplant, arm transplant and arm replant patients were determined using high-density EEG. Significant differences were found between the voluntary group and the transplantation group.
