Yüzeye çıkan simülakrum: İmgenin doğası üzerine bir araştırma

This study aims at understanding the nature of thevisual image through discussing the notion of'simulacrum' within the philosophy of Plato,Baudrillard and Deleuze and trying to locate itsimportance within the representational system ofmodels and copies. The notion of imitation andrepresentation is found problematic in explainingthe fascination within visual imagery and Deleuze?sterm `becoming? is suggested as more appropriate. Itis discussed in this thesis how the simulacrumthreatens and destabilizes model/copy relations ofrepresentation through its role in Deleuze?s`sensation.?Key Words: Simulacrum, Simulacra, Image,Representation, Visual Arts4
