Özet (EN)

In this study, it was aimed to develop an optimization model which can be used for determining the most appropriate thermal insulation thickness alternative in terms of economic benefit for the building envelope that contacts the ground and which will?have flexibility that offer calculation opportunity for all building envelope geometry that contacts the ground,?allow to select the most appropriate alternative in terms of economic benefit among the thermal insulation thickness alternatives that are acceptable according to product standardization for the building envelope that contacts the ground,?give accurate and reliable results in a short time that will make the model useful in practical terms. In this context, first, thermal insulation configuration, optimization procedure and calculation method alternatives were investigated, then the ones that had the desired features were merged to form a new optimization model. It was also investigated that how the insulation thicknesses that must be used at the wall and floor components of the building envelope that contacts the ground and the economic benefit obtained by using this thermal insulation thicknesses varying according to;?the geometric features of the building envelope that contacts the ground,?climatic conditions and?the fuel typein Turkey and these results were obtained by using the model that was developed: The insulation thicknesses that must be used at the wall and floor components of the building envelope that contacts the ground and the economic benefit which will be obtained by using this thermal insulation thicknesses increase gradually when the depth of the building?s floor that contacts the ground decreases according to the surface of the ground, the climatic conditions become severe and a more costly fuel type is used. Only the floor?s values increase gradually when the building?s floor area decreases and a building form that causes higher perimeter values is used. It was determined that the results match with the studies in literature.Key Words: Ground, building envelope, thermal insulation, optimization model, economic analysis
