Abstract (EN)
Zeynep Uzunbay's poetic world emerges with a unique structure. She does not operate within specific patterns or limitations in her poems. Nor are she constrained by specific limitations in terms of the subjects she explores. Uzunbay's attempt to create her works freely, both in the internal and external structure of her poems, is seen as a reflection of the poetic language and the individual. Therefore, while the poet portrays a poet who rebels against established rules in terms of content in her works, she does not adhere to specific literary conventions when creating the external structure of her poems. This study examines the subjects Zeynep Uzunbay explores in her poems, the reasons for choosing these subjects, and her unique, unconventional external structure. To conduct these studies on Uzunbay's poetry, we draw on the poet's life, literary personality, the themes she explores in her poems, the images and symbols she uses in her poetry, her language and style, her poetic structure, and previous studies to reach a conclusion about her poetic world. This study reveals that Uzunbay, like many poets, addresses specific topics but also creates original works by adding his own unique perspectives to these discussions. Poetry, considered a medium in which individuals can express themselves freely, addresses almost everything they desire to say, whether they are able to. He succeeds in reaching his readers through the emotions and thoughts he so readily expresses. Through his techniques, he shortens the distance between reader and poem, thus easily conveying the points he wishes to convey in his poems. His poetry, which reflects his own life, fundamentally emphasizes the flaws in society and the role of women within this. These inclusions emerge as an attempt to make a positive impact on society. The poet's general theme is the dark thoughts society is drifting towards. He aims to make the reader aware of this issue and, by illuminating it, to reach a correct mindset. Consequently, it is possible to see how the ideology within Uzunbay's poetry was formed and how this ideology is reflected in his works. He aims to increase the number of individuals who consciously recognize social flaws. In this vein, a revolutionary tone emerges in her poems. Zeynep Uzunbay, who also prioritizes language when writing these poems, composes them in plain Turkish and fluent language. Her use of imagery also creates an evocative richness in her poems.
