Prof.Dr. Sevilay TOPÇUIn this study an alternative has been introduced to cleaning operations which are comparativelyexpensive and highly difficult in olive oil industry that has great solid waste (prina) and waste water potentialnot only in Our Country but also in other Mediterranean Countries. For this purpose, the development of Cynodon dactylon (L.) Pers. (Bermuda Grass),Stenotaphrum secundatum (Grabgrass) and Ophiopogon japonicum (Blackgrass) was investigated byusing the prina, which is released several tons every year, as a growing environment. Thus, the fields which waste material deposited on can be repaired biologically and can be obtainrehabilitation by growing valuable plants as far as landscape is concern..Keywords: Olive oil, Prina, Biological repair1
