Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study, social skill levels in adolescents with mental disabilities and behavior problems levels by comparing parents' general investigation of self-efficacy. Moreover, it is the sub-objective of the survey that level of social skill and behavior problems of the students differ related to a number of variables or not. Because of without changing the existing situation was describe as relational model is used for screening in this study.The sample of the survey comprises adolescents with mental disability in educable level (ages of 11-21) and their parents. 161 students participated in this survey and 59 of these students were female, 102 of tehem were male. All of the adolescents taking part in the survey are resuming their education at public special education schools or including classroom which give education to students with mental disability at educable level. Also the 185 parents surveyed, 59 fathers and 126 mothers.In this survey, the School Social Behavior Scales has been used to measure the level of social competence at school and problematic behaviors of the students. Besides, ?General Self-Efficacy Scale? has been used to measure general self-efficacy level of the parents. Furthermore, ?Family ?Student Information Questionnaire?, which was developed to reach demographic variables, by the researcher. SPSS version 1.5 was used for the data analysis.The results of this study showed that have a positive relationship between the social skill levels in adolescents with mental disabilities with the general self-efficacy perceptions of the parents and also negative relationship between the behavior problem levels in adolescents with mental disabilities with the general self-efficacy perceptions of the parents.
