Analysis for the affectiveness of social ability education program that is designed through musical therapy method for mentally disabled students

This research aims to analyse the affectiveness of social skills education program that is designed through musical therapy method for mentally disabled students. This research aims to analyse, ınviting others to play games, bringing back the objects that he/she barrowed, fullfilling the duties are music therapy effective in improving their skills, or not.This research uses the multi-survey among the experimentals modal experimery style which is a kind of single experimental research modals in order to determine educational effectiveness.The working group of the research consists of nine students that have middle level mentally learning inability and go to West Part of Black Sea Region in the education application scholl and vocational education center. This research working group, that have preconditional skills and chosen among the students of the education application and vocational education center in the West Part of Black Sea Region province.By filling in the social skills (4-6 years old) estimation scale the pre-testing data are brought together. The intervention programs were developed the students with mental retardation , ınviting others to play games, bringing back the objects that he/she barrowed, fullfilling the duties are which were the target skills of this study.In order to reach the social skills education target, learning programs throgh musical theraphy method were perepared. This learning program was applied in week days for 5 times in 30?35 minutes classes. After the classes the teacher of the nine students is allowed to fullfill the social skills estimation scale again. At the end of intervention settings, follow-up settings were conducted.As a result of the research it was observed that the social skills education program prepared through musical therapy method is affective.Key Words: Mentally Disabled, Musical Therapy Education Method, Social Skills.
