The conditionally variable role of the mechanic in the effect of mentalization and empathy on the type of power applied by the leader.

In this study, the main objective is to determine which issues, how and how the relations between leader and individuals are affected to achieve the objectives of the institution and to ensure growth. In this context, the concepts of mentalization and empathy utilized by the leader are discussed in the perspective of the use of power types of the leader felt by the working individual and how this situation differentiated in the felt machiavelli personality was evaluated. As a result of the analysis of the data that The study covered 276 people in Turkey from private sector employees, it was seen that the increase in the perceived empathy of the leader affected the perceived personality and reward power of the leader positively and the negatively coercive power of the leader. The perceived mentalization of the leader is negatively affected the perceived reward and personal power of the leader and the perceived mentalization of the leader positively is affected the legitimate and coercive power. Finally, study has came to a conclusion that the perceived makyevelist personality of the leader has positive affect on relation between the perceived empathy of the leader-leaders reward power; has positive affect on relation between the perceived mentalization of the leader-leaders personal power and the perceived mentalization of the leader-leaders reward power; has negative affect between the perceived mentalization of the leader-leaders coercive power Key Words: Empathy, Mentalization, Power Types, Machiavellian Personality, Leader's Power Type
