Abstract (EN)
Bucket elevators are used in vertical transportation of all kinds of bulk materials. Their mainadventage is to transport materials up to very high distances on small areasTransportation is executed in a closed body by loading the material to the buckets which moveupwards fixed to a pulling organ tracted by an electric motor and unloading at the top. Bands orchains are used as pulling organs. While bands work faster and more silently compared to chains;chains can stand enviromental conditions better and sustain bigger focesBucket elevators can be classified according to their pulling organs, shapes and structures. Formaterials having various properties different types of elevators, different chain and band typesand different discharge methods are used. Designing criterias of bucket elevators are determinedaccording to the properites of tehe material, elevator capacity and enviromental conditions.In this project structures, parts and design parameters of bucket chain and band elevators arestudied and a comperasion between chain and band elevators is made.
