Abstract (EN)

In this study, electrochemical behaviors of Montelukast Sodium, the asthma inhibitor ac-tive substance, was investigated on zinc oxide nanoparticles modified carbon paste electrode in methanol-Britton-Robinson buffer mixture (pH 2,3) by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and square wave voltammetry. The number of electron transferred in the reduction of Montelukast Sodium and adsorption properties were determined as the related to electrochemical behavior of Monte-lukast sodium. Also in biological media, such as drug and serum samples, the pharmaceutical active substance used with the cases question for the determination of substances have been studied. Peak current of electrochemical reduction of montelukast sodium was found to vary linearly with the concentration in the range from 1,0×10-8 to 1,28×10-6 mol L-1. In this method, limit of detection was found to be 7,7×10-9 mol L-1. Proposed methods were applied to pharma-ceutical and biological samples and reproducible results with high accuracy, precisionand and confidence were obtained. The results obtained through the experiments were compared with the other electrochemical methods in the literature.
