Abstract (EN)

A society's cultural structure gives us information about that society. One of the main elements that create this structure is fables because they give us information about the social and economical status, eating habits, traditions, and past. In this matter, fables have great value for continiuty of cultural aspects, and their transfer from generation to generation. The sad thing is we do not protect our fables enough as a society. Also, another sad point is by the migration from villages to cities, technology occupied a large space in our lives and the amount of storytellers' number has decreased. Fables change from region to region and in this respect, they are our alive cultural treasure. Thinking from this angle, compiling and writing down the fables are very important to carry them to next generations; letting them know about our real culture and to make fables as resources of social studies. Thus, compiling and writing them would prevent fables from diappearing in this technological era. When one analyses fable works of Black Sea region, he/she can see that there is no fable work of Zonguldak district. In this study, fifty fables compiled from different villages of Zonguldak has transferred by abiding by their local accent features The pimary goal of this study is to fulfill the gap of fable studies of Zonguldak region and transferring different fables from different villages to next generations in their original from.
