Özet (EN)
Black boxes are electronic recording devices designed especially for post-incident analysis, continuously capturing critical parameters and events occurring within vehicles, thus providing essential data to enhance vehicle performance, operational safety, and identify potential risks. Armored land vehicles, on the other hand, are equipped with advanced security and control systems, and are continuously developed to enhance operational efficiency in critical missions. In this context, black box applications have become an increasingly essential requirement in the defense industry for monitoring vehicle performance, improving efficiency, and conducting detailed investigations in case of malfunctions. This study focuses on the design, applicability, and data acquisition processes of black box systems in armored land vehicles. The primary functions of black boxes include monitoring driving dynamics, recording data from sensors, continuously tracking environmental conditions, and analyzing cause-and-effect relationships in potential accidents. Additionally, black box applications enable remote monitoring and intervention for the vehicles. Within the scope of this thesis, the hardware and software components of a black box system integrated into an armored land vehicle were developed, and a design was created for processing and analyzing data obtained from various sensors. Through this design, improvements achieved in fault detection, maintenance planning, and operational safety were detailed. Furthermore, all data and processes were compared with a commercially available third-party product to ensure the development of two domestic equivalents. The findings demonstrate that the developed black box system is an effective tool for enhancing the performance and safety parameters of armored land vehicles. The study also highlights the potential applications of black box technology in the defense industry and its strategic significance, offering recommendations for future advancements.
