A content and formal analysis of the Surah Zumar: A chronological reading

The subject of our study is the philological and thematic analysis of the Zumar Surah, revealed in the Mecca period of the Qur'anic revelation. In the study of the surah, which we tried to conduct in the light of historical data, we evaluated the discourse of the surah as both an address and a text, also taking into account both the integrity of the subject flow and the integrity of the Qur'an. Also, by identifying all the narrations associated with the verses of the surah in tafsir literature, we studied the effects of these narrations on the understanding of the verses. In the introductory chapter, we discussed the methods used in the interpretation of the Surah Zumar in particular, and the Qur'an in general, the possibility of reaching objective meaning, the weight of the historical context and textual context in understanding the verses. In the first chapter, we compiled the narrations about the verses of the Surah Zumar, which are included in the tafsir and the sources of al-asbab al-nuzul. We also analyzed in detail the words that we believe have a key role in the interpretation of the surah. In the second chapter we examined the subjects included in the surah in detail about Allah and the ones addressed.
