Abstract (EN)

In this study, Pb(II), Cd(II), Zn(II), Cu(II) and Ni(II) ions existing in different solutions have been preconcentrated separately by using mini column containing modified Amberlite XAD-16-1,6-bis(2-carboxy aldehyde phenoxy)butane and determined by flame atomic absorption spectrometry. Effect of several parameters such as pH, sorption capacity, the type, volume and the flow rate of the eluation solutions, the flow rate and the volume of the sample solution on the preconcentration efficiency have been investigated. At optimum conditions determined experimentally, the recoveries of Pb(II), Cd(II), Zn(II), Cu(II) and Ni(II) were found to be % 99 ± 1.15, 100 ± 1.40, 98 ± 1.82, 100 ± 2.15, 100 ± 2.70 respectively (N=5). The limits of detection of Pb(II), Cd(II), Zn(II), Cu(II) and Ni(II) in the determination by FAAS (3s, N= 20) were found to be 1.47, 1.19, 0.11, 0.33, 1.16 ?g/L respectively. In order to ivestigate the applicability of the method to real samples, the effect of some matrix elements such as Na+, K+, Ca2+, Mg2+, Cl- ve SO42- on the recovery have been investigated. The proposed method has been applied for the determination of Pb(II), Cd(II), Zn(II), Cu(II) and Ni(II) ions to the real samples such as Dicle river water, Elazığ Maden river, automobile exhaust particles obtained from the places where clowded traffic exist, romaine lettuce and parsley grown up in Diyarbakır. Furthermore the accuracy of the proposed method was tested by analysing standart reference material.
