Relation examination for emergency medicine technicians who work in 112 emergency health services and paramedics life support practices with their self leadership level

The purpose of this study is to show the relation between life Support Practices and self leadership level who work in 112 Emergency Health Services and Paramedics and aiming to improve the Emergency Technicians and Paramedics' Life Support Practices, to increase the skills and competencies of Self Leadership. The study over governmental workers of 112 Emergency Service in Istanbul, was examined comprehended Life Support Practices, Self Leadership Levels. With this goal, questionnaire was applied to 286 Emergency Medicine Technician, 314 Paramedic in total 600 employees. Covered these terms and consisted of 3 parts survey was conducted. The first part of the survey is about demographic data; the second covers 2 scales on Life Support Practices, Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Practices; the last one consists of Self Leadership Scale Questionnaire. In Data Analysis of the study; explicative Factor Analysis to establish the structure validity of the scale, Correlation Analysis to measure the relation and Regression Analysis to measure the impact of the scale were used. As a result; Knowledge Level is average for General Life Support, high for Basic Life Support, average for Advanced Life Support. positive relation exists between Life Support Practices and Self Leadership Levels according to the research findings. It has been seen that the Self Leadership Levels of the Survey Participants are effective on the General Life Support. l12 Provincial Ambulance service workers'capabilities, personal mastery and competence levels are possitive and impressive factors over their professional perception and application level.
