Abstract (EN)
The objective of this study is to investigate the relationship of anger and anger expression with depression levels in adolescents. A questionnaire form was used as data collection tool. The questionnaire form consists of questions about demographic characteristics, State-Trait Anger and Anger Expression Inventory and Beck Depression Scale . The population of the study consists of eighth grade students (12-13 years of age) in Private Kartal Ahmet Şimşek Middle School. The sample of the study consists of 90 students selected using simple random sampling. Data analysis was performed with SPSS 16 software. Descriptive statistics and relationship analysis and regression analysis were used to analyse the data. Based on the results of the study, it was determined that adolescents had high levels of trait anger and unexpressed anger. Results also revealed a positive relationship of anger expression and unexpressed anger levels with depression levels.
