Abstract (EN)

In the Ottoman Empire, the Sharia Records held by the judges in the courts of Sharia are first-hand sources for urban historiography. Sharia Registers are documents containing the socio-cultural structure, economic, political and administrative structure of the period in which it was written. The full Sharia Register number 12 is 397 pages, and the related registry has been studied in the range of 303-397 pages. In the register, besides the cases of marriage, divorce, alimony, inheritance, purchase and sale, official documents such as edict, affirmation, reminding, letter and provment sent from the center were recorded. Through these documents XVII. At the beginning of the century, the socio-cultural, social, economic and administrative status of Antep was evaluated.
