Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of land and pool training on selected anthropometric measurements and 50 meters of freestyle degrees for a 12-year-old male and female swimmers. An experimental research method was used in the study, and a single group, pre-test-post-test trial model, was used. The research group was formed by choosing a total of (56) swimmers, 32 of whom were girls, and 24 of whom were boys, from among the (110) performance group swimmers who received swimming training at the age of 12 in the Istanbul province Zeytinburnu Municipality Beştelsiz Indoor Swimming Pool. Before the research, the research group was given "height measurement, bodyweight measurement, arm length measurement, hand length measurement, leg length measurement, foot length measurement, determination of the number of arms, determination of the number of feet, 50 m. Sprint degree measurement tests were conducted, and the measurements were repeated at the end of the land and pool training sessions, which were continued for 16 weeks, three days and 2 hours a week. The data obtained in the study are given as the mean (±) standard deviation. While analyzing, Shapiro-Wilk Test was used to determine whether the data showed normal distribution or not. Due to the normal distribution of the data, non-parametric tests were applied. Independent t-test (Independent Sample T-Test) was used for comparison of two independent groups, and T-Test (Paired T-Test) was used for independent groups for comparison of dependent groups. In the evaluation made, the significance level of the data was accepted as p <0.05. Statistical evaluation of the data obtained in the study was made with the SPSS 24.0 package program. When the analyzes performed were examined, it was found that there was a statistically significant difference between body weight and height according to the pre and post-test results of the in-group (female) athletes (n = 32) belonging to the physical characteristics of the participants, and a significant difference between BMI "pre and post" test results. It was determined that there was a statistically significant difference between the pre and post-test results of the physical characteristics (n = 24) of the other group (male) athletes, body weight and height, and there were no significant difference between the BMI "pre and post" test results. A statistically significant difference was found between the arm length, hand length, leg length and foot length "pre and post" test results when the in-group (girls) pre and post-test results of the participants' anthropometric characteristics were compared. When the comparison of the pre and post-test results of male athletes, which is another group, within the group, it was found that there were a statistically significant difference between arm length, hand length, leg, foot length "pre and post" test results. When the data about 50 meters freestyle value of the participants are examined, when the pre and post-test results of the girls in the group are examined, the foot kick, the number of arms and 50 m. It was determined that there is a statistically significant difference between free degree "pre and post" test results. When the pre and post-test results of male athletes in the group are examined, foot strokes, number of arms, 50 m. It was determined that there is a statistically significant difference between free degree "pre and post" test results. As a result of the land and pool training, body weight, height, arm length, hand length, leg length, foot length, foot stroke, number of arms, 50 m. It is seen that it contributes positively to free degrees, but the training does not contribute to the BMI values of the participants. With this study, it was concluded that regular swimming training and swimming sports are beneficial in terms of anthropometric properties, motoric properties and swimming performance in children.
