Abstract (EN)

One of the most important sources reflecting the judicial mechanism of the Ottoman State and the concept of justice is the registers of the sherries. In our study, the relations between the Muslim and non-Muslim elements living in Manisa in the first half of the 17th century were discussed and the relations were examined under the conditions of the period. It is extremely important in terms of perceiving the muslim-non-muslim relations of the period that we have examined in the context of analyzing the records in the sources of the şer'iyye register, our source, in an objective way. The purpose of our study was to evaluate the relations of the people of Manisa made up of Muslims and non-Muslims in the period of chronological period that we determined in legal, economic and social fields in the light of the registers and presented to the world of science. It is seen that the information we have obtained thanks to the books we have investigated can determine in which areas the Muslims and non-Muslims are present in their respective situations. In the city of Manisa, which has various ethnic and religious elements in its place, it tried to examine the reasons of the disagreements of the people. In this context, in order to give some questions about how the relations of the people of Manisa in the 17th century are behaving and what kind of relations are more intense, the records of the records of the sherries were determined and evaluated.
