Abstract (EN)

Children's literature, which is a field developed as a result of long efforts in our country and in the world, includes written and oral products that appeal to young individuals. These products are publications that support children's developmental areas in a holistic way and arouse a sense of curiosity in them. Children's magazines and newspapers, which can be considered among the building blocks of children's literature, are one of these publications. Magazines and newspapers, which are periodicals, are rich children's resources in the sense that they meet with their readers at weekly, fifteen-day or monthly intervals in line with their publication policies and contain many products. In this study, qualitative research method and content analysis technique were used. Therefore, the aim of this study is to transfer the children's periodical "Mektepliler Alemi", one of the children's periodicals published after the Republic of Turkey, into contemporary Turkish, to analyse the children's literature texts in the magazine and to carry out an index study. The last available issue of "Mektepliler Âlemi", which started its publication life on 24 February 1925, is dated 7 April 1925. During its short publication life, "Mektepliler Âlemi" endeavoured to pack rich and informative content into its sixteen pages, and readers were asked to provide feedback on "Mektepliler Âlemi".
