Abstract (EN)

The From a historical perspective, Arab-Israeli relations, particularly in the last century, have led to numerous crises and wars. These conflicts have often fundamentally disrupted Middle Eastern balances and influenced the emergence of new global equations. The Yom Kippur War holds critical importance due to its consequences and impacts. This study aims to explore the relationship between the 1973 Oil Crisis and the Arab-Israeli wars, as well as its effects on Turkey. Accordingly, it seeks to identify the significant disruptions caused by the oil crisis, triggered by the Yom Kippur War, in the global economy, and its impacts on Turkey's energy policies and Turkish-Arab relations. Through historical analysis, this study aims to highlight Turkey's role during this period and the ongoing implications of the crisis. The research integrates historical sources, economic data, and geopolitical analyses to examine the multidimensional effects of the 1973 Crisis. Particular focus is placed on the transformation in Turkish-Arab relations and Turkey's energy security policies. This thesis is not merely an analysis of a historical event but also aims to provide a framework for understanding Turkey's strategic role in the Middle East today. The thesis seeks to offer readers a perspective to understand the impacts of the 1973 Oil Crisis on Turkey and to evaluate the transformation in energy security and Turkish-Arab relations
