Abstract (EN)

32CrMoV12-10 steel is a material that is frequently used in industries where strength and toughness are important in industry and is used in the manufacture of gun barrels, gears and bearings.In the production of parts from these materials, it is important to apply mostly curing and surface hardening (nitriding) heat treatments.It is very important to determine the heat treatment conditions appropriate to achieve a long and efficient fatigue life for produced. The 32CrMoV12-10 steel to be used in this study was supplied commercially and heat treated under different conditions.Three different heat treatment temperatures, three different heat treatment times and three different coolants were used. The effect of these variables on the mechanical properties of the material was investigated. It is aimed to improve product quality by using TOPSIS (Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) and Taguchi Method. Sample preparation, Heat treatment and cooling processes were followed and the results of impact notch, hardness and tensile tests were found within the required ranges. The specimen that gives optimum heat treatment value from results, was examined for the effect on nitriding depth. After the nitration depth was measured in the microvickers device, it was understood that it was at a sufficient level and the study was terminated.
