Abstract (EN)

The Ottoman Empire, one of the most ancient states in history, shows that attached importance to justice and with its decrees, certificates and court records kept by evenjudges. This study includes the transcription and analyisis of Cerkes Sharia Court Record numbered 3547. The study includes a brief information about the judgeship (kadı) institution and court officials. Sharia Court Recort Cerkes numbered 3547 contains 55 poses and includes cases such as estate, dept, alimony, purchase and sale. In this study, the social order of Çerkeş District of Çankırı province, wich is a small city of our country, has been brought to light.
