Examination of some physical, motoric and anthropometric characteristics of children aged between 7 and 10

The aim of this research is to examine the physical, motoric and anthropometric characteristics of children aged 7-10. In line with the purpose of the study, 112 female with an average age of 7.60 ± 1.10 years, average height of 125.39±8.74 cm, average body weight of 28.00 ± 7.74 kg, who received sports training in sports schools in Aksaray province, and their average age 127 male with 7.28±1.04 years, average height of 124.70±8.93 cm, and average body weight of 27.95±8.34 kg participated in the study. As the research model, the causal comparison method of the scanning model was used. Body weight and height, flamingo balance test, hand grip strength, sit-reach flexibility test, Nelson hand reaction test, medicine ball throwing test, circumference measurement test and subcutaneous fold measurements were made to the research group in line with the purpose of the research. The obtained data were statistically analyzed with Spss 25.0 package program. In order to compare the male and female groups, t-test analysis was used in independent groups. When the findings of the participants were compared, no statistically significant difference was found between the results of subcutaneous fold measurement, medicine ball throwing, reaction test, hand grip strength test and 10m sprint test (p>0.05), while there was a statistically significant difference in favor of vertical jump and balance and flexibility test results. difference was found (p<0.05). As a result, it has been observed that the anthropometric and motoric characteristics of girls and boys are generally similar, and a situation in favor of the boys in the balance and vertical jump parameters and the girls in the flexibility parameter.
