Abstract (EN)

Patients with chest pain form important part of the patients applying to emergency departments. Because of high mortality and morbidity risk rates, fast and early diagnosis is highly needed. One part of the chest pains is acut coronary syndrome (AKS) while others are non-typical chest pains. In this study, since irisin is an important source for heart muscle and blood levels change in oxidative cases, relation between irisin level and chest pain for distinctive diagnosis and as an early biomarker is discussed. 102 patiences with MI (51 NTSMI, 51 STEMI) 51 USAP, 51 patients with non-typical chest pain and 51 healty control group applying to the Emergency Department at Medical Faculty of Fırat University form the working group of this study. Haven evaluated data set, there has been a difference between MI and non-typical controlling groups regarding irisin. The cut-off rate is found small equal to 10,452 while the sensivity is 93% and the specifity is 35% (AUC:0,639, %95 Confidence interval: 0,56-0,71, p=0,004) for irisin. On the other hand for troponin cut-off rate is found greater than 0,01 while the sensivity is 74% and the specifity is 82% . (AUC:0,806, %95 Confidence interval: 0,73-0,86 , p=0,004), Consequently, the diagnostic value of troponin is higher than the one of irisine. More studies are needed to utilise the level of irisin for distinctive diagnosis and as an early biomarker for patiences with chest pain applying to emergency departments. Kery words: Emergency department, chest pain, irisin
