Abstract (EN)

In this postgraduate thesis, active neutrality policy of Republic of Turkey and the foreign ministry period of Numan Menemencioglu will be told. In order to understand the situation of Republic of Turkey during World War 2, diplomacy among other nations who entered the World War 2 will be examined. Also, the reasons for World War 2 and the interwar period will be mentioned. Origins of World War 2 will help us to understand the developments of World War 2 efficiently. The most important diplomatic figures of Republic of Turkey during World War 2 will be told. Active neutrality policy will be told in regard to the diplomatic and economic incidents during World War 2. The relations between Republic of Turkey and warring states will be analyzed, how Republic of Turkey remained non-combatant during the period will be focused.
