Abstract (EN)

Intraduction-Aims: To determinate the H.Pylori infection rate in the patientswho has ITP and to evaluate in this patients whether a significant increase in plateletcount after eradication of H.Pylori. The etiopathogenesis of ITP is not known fully, andmethods of treatment have many side effects, success of treatments are not well, so thatwe need new researchs and methods of treatment. H.Pylori that how to be effective onthe immun system is known, eradication in patients with ITP may contribute thetreatment, quality of life in addition reduce use of expensive treatments if practicalapplications are routinely applied in selected patients.Materials And Methods: This study followed up because of patient withchronic ITP who has under 80.000 platelet levels despite previous treatments. Thisstudy include 38 patients with ITP, consist of 12 male, 26 female patients that UBT wasperformed. Patients with H.Pylori enfection who are diagnosed with UBT, aftereradication treatment of two weeks UBT was repeated later 4 weeks. When H.Pyloriwasn?t eradicated, second line eradication therapy was performed two weeks and after 4weeks end of the treatment, UBT was repeated. After the eradication platelet count wasperiodically investigated.Findings: The prevelance of H.Pylori who has ITP is %60 (23 patients with ITPhave infection with H.Pylori in 38 patient with H.Pylori). Eradication treatment wasapplied 23 patients with ITP who have H.Pylori infection so, in 17 patients eradicationwas achieved with classic tripple therapy, addition quadry therapy then in 2 patientseradication was achieved. With these regimens eradication rate reached %82,6. H.Pyloriachieved 3 of 19 patients (%15,7) as a result of eradication, who has been significantand sustained platelet response. Results: H.Pylori eradication in patients with ITP still didn?t take place as astandart treatment approach (Grade 2C). However, the study also seems logical to bedone UBT in determinated H.Pylori positive. In our study, eradication therapy showed asignificant platelet increase. There are still large differences between response rates inthe literature.
