Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to determine the gender perceptions of social service institution staff who are responsible for providing egalitarian services in the field, and to present opinions and suggestions related to the field. The importance of the research is that it will reveal the level of perception of the source of the problem of the professionals who provide services to overcome these problems to applicants who have been affected by some of the inequalities caused by gender. In the study, a form containing socio-demographic information and a 25-item Gender Perception Scale (TAÖ) questionnaire form were used to collect the data. The sample consists of 321 social workers working in organizations affiliated to the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services of Uşak. As a result of the research, it was concluded that education, age, institution associated with and gender significantly determine the perception of gender, and that there is a significant difference in terms of the results of TAÖ between those who are professional employees and those who are not. Based on the research results; it was thought that it would be productive to follow policies that will raise the perception of gender and to organize in-service trainings and to focus on attitude-changing studies especially in the provincial organizations of the Ministry
