Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is to gather up data about religious life of the communities resident in Aeolis in Antiquity and to reach descriptions of the religion's role on the individual and social level. The spatial scope covers the region called Aeolis which is associated with the Aiol migration by the narrations in ancient sources. An inquiry on the regional base may also serve to seek an answer to the question whether religious beliefs within the region demonstrate a texture, even though the question should not point to a precondition that religious life in the region has a geographical character. Since the earliest archaeological evidence in the region dates to the 8th century BC, the chronological scope of the study covers the time span between 8th century BC to the end of antiquity.
