Educational geography of Aksaray province

Although the relationship between education and geography is an important research area, the failure to address this interdisciplinary issue in sufficient depth is based on several basic reasons. Topics prioritized in academic research are generally shaped by the social, political and technological dynamics of the period. Interdisciplinary issues, such as the relationship between education and geography, have been overshadowed by other fields or more popular research topics and therefore have not received sufficient attention. Educational geography is an interdisciplinary field that examines the spatial dimension of education systems and addresses issues such as access to education, distribution of resources, and the impact of environmental factors. The purpose of this study; To develop education policies in order to make education more effective by understanding the effects of geography on human life and to give information about the general geographical features, human and economic structure of Aksaray province. In this study, which examined the educational geography of Aksaray province, document analysis, one of the qualitative research methods, was used. This method involves examining written and visual materials that provide us, the researcher, with information about the facts and events that are intended to be investigated. This study, which is about the relationship between education and geography, started with a comprehensive literature review, and similar studies conducted in different provinces were examined in detail. In the research, the collected data were analyzed based on the descriptive analysis technique. The purpose of the descriptive analysis used in the analysis of the documents is to organize the findings and present these findings to the reader in an interpreted form. At the point of understanding the impact of geographical conditions on education, examining rural and urban education differences, evaluating the impact of socio-economic structure on education, researching the effects of migration and demographic structure, shaping education policies according to local dynamics, studying the geography of education in terms of developing environmental and cultural awareness, examining the geographical and social aspects of the province. It is of critical importance to increase the effectiveness and accessibility of education by reconciling its features with education. Such studies are considered important in shaping education policies in accordance with local needs, contributing to social development and contributing to the limited studies in the academic literature.
