Research of the effects of leadership charecteristics of highschool students doing sport actively on problem solving skills

The aim of this research is to explain the effects of the leadership characteristics of hıgh school students on problem solving skills. In this research, the ''Personal Data Form'' developed by Heppner and Peterson ( 1982 ) and adapted to Turkish by Şahin et al (1993) ;Leadership scale devoleped by Basoglu (2013) Was used as data collection tools for 458 students in Tavşanlı District of Kütahya province . The data obtained were anlyzed on SPSS for Windows 23.0 package program. For the distribution of data test of normality , indepent Group T Test an done-way variance (ANOVA) analysis for seeing if it shows difference or not , LSD Test for determination of groups that couse difference , Pearson Correlation analysis for determination of the relationship between problem solving skills and leadership characteristics and linear regression analysis was applied to determine the effect of variables. Problem solving inventory and leadership scale relibility were determined by Cronbach's Alpha coeffiecent. At the end of the study,it has been seen that problem solving skills do not differ according to variables such as gender ,age,grade,scholl type and year of doing sport. (p>0,05).It has been concluded that leadership features have an impact on impulsive , shy,evaluative,self-confident between hasty approach skill and leadership characteristics is( r )0.162 which indicates that there is a positive relationship between hasty approach skill and leadership characteristics. It was determined that hasty approach , shy approach , evaluative approach, self-confident approach and planned approach skills affected leadership characteristics. (p>0,05).
