Abstract (EN)

The relationship between perceived organizational support and job commitment is important for understanding the level of commitment and contribution of employees to their jobs. Perceived organizational support is considered as an important tool to understand and strengthen the mutual relationship between the organization and the employee. This concept has contributed to the emphasis on organizational policies and practices that aim to ensure that employees feel a fair and supportive environment by their organizations. Job engagement is related to employees' commitment to their work, motivation and focus on their work. Organizational support elements such as employees' being valued by the organization, emotional support and work-life balance emerge as determining factors on job commitment. In this context, our study examined the relationship between organizational support perceived by the employees of Van İpekyolu Land Registry Directorate and job commitment. The thesis uses structured interviews, a qualitative research method, and in-depth interviews were conducted with the participants. The data obtained were presented using content analysis method. According to the results obtained in the study, when the general views of the participants in terms of perceived organizational support were evaluated, the majority of the participants (N=15) stated that their organizations did not care about employee goals and values. In terms of job dedication questions, all of the participants stated that their work is not related to their special interests. The main reason for this is that their work is monotonous and routine (contractual and non-contractual transactions, receiving documents, document follow-up, signing process). In the assessment of commitment to work, participants rated their commitment out of 10, where 5-7 is considered normal and 7-10 is considered high. 15 of the participants rated their commitment to their jobs as high or normal.
