Abstract (EN)
Ayvalık were founded in Republic of Turkey's province of Balıkesir. It's located in front of the Mytilene. Ayvalık is one of the best tourist destinations in Turkey. In point of pine forests and olive trees, is quite rich and also throughout the history it was favorite residential area. In this area, there are some churches and monasteries which were built by the Greek communities. To protect and restorate these buildings, a lot of Money and sponsors are needed. The man subject of this is Taxiarches Church and besides Ayvalık Alibey (Cunda) island, its historical and geographical past.
