Belgelerle Amasya Sultan II. Bayezid Külliyesi

One of the complexes built in Anatolia, whose earliest examples date back to the first quarter of the 12th century and were constructed from the Artuqid period to the Ottoman period, is the Amasya Sultan II. Bayezid Complex, which was built in Amasya after Sultan Bayezid II's ascension to the throne in the last quarter of the 15th century. Through the documents we have been able to obtain, we have attempted to shed light on the historical processes of the construction of the structures within the complex. The Amasya Sultan II. Bayezid Complex, which consists of a mosque, madrasa, imarat, muwaqqit (timekeeper's house), the tomb of Shahzadah Osman Çelebi, fountain, and the no-longer-extant hot and cold-water fountains, a snow fountain, another fountain and a library, has been studied through its waqfiyyah and archival documents and analyzed to reveal its place and importance within Ottoman architectural history.
