Abstract (EN)

Abstract The Impacts of Amateur Football Players' Static and Dynamic Balance Levels on Pass and Shot Features Apart from the force, speed and endurance features that affect the performance during the football competition, the capability of balance is a variable that can affect the match result. Although it has a big importance in this aspect, often, many researches only emphasize the protective effects of balance levels, but there are a very limited number of studies on the effects of it on branch-specific skills. The main purpose of this study which is conducted to make up this deficiency is to determine the relationship between static and dynamic balance levels of amateur football players and football-specific technical capabilities in the pass and shot. 18 athletes in the age range of 18-30 who play at İzmir amateur league have been included in the study (age19.94±1.98 years, height: 181.22±7.45 cm, body weight: 70.60±6.88 kg, body fat percentage: 9.72±3.59). Balance measurements have been evaluated as static and dynamic applications in the Tecnobody balance measurement device (as eyes open-closed, double feet and one foot). Pass and shooting levels have been determined by Loughborough pass and shooting tests. In general, static and dynamic eyes closed and open balance levels have not been associated with Loughborough pass and shooting test (p> 0.05). In addition, in static balance measurements with the variables of Anterior-Posterior Speed Change (AP Speed), Medial-Lateral Speed Change (ML Speed) and Perimeter (environment), which has been applied as double foot eyes open, right foot eyes open and double foot eyes closed, a significant difference has been observed between the players with good value levels and the ones with low-value levels. (p<0.05). In addition, it has been found out that the players who have had better value levels in Anterior-Posterior Standard Deviation (AP SS) among right food dynamic balance variables have a better level in left foot shooting (p<0.05). No significant result has been found between the balance variables, in which the athletes have been evaluated as good and low levels according to their balance level, and the level of performing the pass and shooting skills (p> 0.05). According to these results, it can be said that there is generally no significant relationship between the level of balance and the levels of performing the football-specific pass and shooting skills in amateur football players. However, the differences determined between non-dominant foot shots and athletes with good and low balance levels in support leg may provide more detailed results with different protocols for this subject.
