The main purpose of this research is to define the anxiety which students?, who are at their last year study of Anatolian, Science and General High School, face when they go through the period about selecting a profession at their upper education study. This research consists of the sudents who are at their last year study of Anatolian, Science and General High School at 2008-2009 Educational Period within the premises of Muğla province. The sources and factual datas about the subject are deeply investigated in this research. The scale enhanced by the researcher made a great utility on collecting datas about this research. The raking method is used in this research. Collecting the datas is made by survey sheets. SPSS 15.0 programme is used for the analysis of the datas collected by survey sheets. Independence Group T Test, Mann Whitney U Test, Kruskal-Wallis H Test, One Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Scheffe Test as Complemental Post Hoc Technics are applied and the results are evaluated for defining the anxiety which students?, who are at their last year study of Anatolian, Science and General High School, face when they go through the period about selecting a profession at their upper education study.As a result of analysis made, that the anxiety which students?, who are at their last year study of Anatolian, Science and General High School, face when they go through the period about selecting a profession at their upper education study can meaningfully be changed because of the sex, school type, the field studied, the educational background, job, death, seperated status of the mother and the father, the family income of students is the finding of this research.Key Words: Anxiety, Selecting a Profession.
