Abstract (EN)
Orchidaceae family is the richest flowering plant group in the world. In our country, 170 taxa orchid species of 24 genus are naturally grown. Orchids, especially those obtained from salep, are threatened by overgrazing and intensive dissolution. In this study; it is aimed to make the seeds of the salep orchids that grow naturally in the Anatolian lands of our country growing in the vicinity of Tokat Canpolat Village to be germable in the natural environment by immobilizing them with organic materials. Studies in the literature suggest that seeds are grown in plant culture and in specific nutrient media. In the study, it was expected that the orchid seeds would be immobilized with sucrose, fructose, glucose, lactose, mannitol, starch, molasses and olive barley compounds and the endosperm tissue missing in the seeds. In addition, salep orchid seeds are intended to be thinned around the orchid embryos with 7 different chemical treatments and thus benefitting better from the carbohydrate sources immobilized. The seeds of all the groups in the experiment were planted in vermicompost and left to stand for 4-5 months under optimum temperature and humidity conditions for germination. As a result of the experiments no germination or no protocorm formation was observed for all the groups included in the experiment.
