Abstract (EN)
In this study, the viscosity and foaming efficiency of anionic surfactants on shampoo were investigated. As a result of the examination of shampoo formulations in the literature, 3 different anionic surfactants that are used most frequently were selected. The anionic surfactants selected are Sodium Lauryl Sulphate, Sodium Laureth Sulphate and Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate. These anionic surfactants were added to the prepared shampoo base in certain proportions. The viscosity values were measured by adding 0.5-2% NaCl to the shampoos with anionic surfactant added. By adding the least anionic surfactant and the least amount of NaCl, the anionic surfactant with the most ideal viscosity value was determined. This anionic surfactant is added to the shampoo base with 5% Sodium Lauryl Sulphate and 1% NaCl. Foam tests were carried out after adding anionic surfactant at different rates to the prepared shampoo base. According to the foam test result, the shampoo sample to which Sodium Lauryl Sulphate was added showed the best foaming property. As the amount of Sodium Lauryl Sulphate increases, the amount of foaming increases.
